If I won the lottery, one of the first things I would do is arrange to take a trip around the world. Well, that hasn't happened yet, but here are a few places I've managed to get to without the benefits of wads of cash:

This is a work in progress, so if the thumbnail doesn't link to anything, it's because it's not done yet.

The summer of 1998, I did an internship at the Mote Marine Lab in Sarasota, Florida, and lived down there for an entire hot, sticky summer.
In August 1999, two friends and I packed our bags and headed to the Emerald Isle for an excellent graduation trip.
My summer 2000 trip was to Mineral, Washington. I got to see Seattle and Mount Rainier in between discharging a few bridesmaid duties at the wedding event of the summer.
In the summer of 2001, I was able to take a weeklong trip to Slovenia, with an extremely short stop off in Venice for good measure.
After a slight travel drought, in February of 2004, my boyfriend and I spent a wonderful week in London, with a quick trip to Stonehenge and Bath thrown in for good measure.
In 2007, we took an Easter weekend trip to Quebec City. We thought we'd be safe from snow by the first weekend of April, but we'd forgotten that we're making up for a snow free December. We now plan on going back, if for no other reason than to see the large parts of tbe city that were covered in snow while we were there.
For good measure, here are a number of pictures from my lovely home state of Maine.
